Now more than ever we are grateful for a gift of any amount you might share to further support the ministry of Saint Andrew. What you share makes a difference as we seek to be “open to all” in this time when many feel isolated. For the many ways you give, thank you. To share an offering:

1. Send a text message to 715-800-2369 with the amount you would like to contribute. Within a few minutes you will be sent a text with a link to register. Click on the link and enter your cardholder name and debit or credit card information. Once your registration is complete, you will receive a text verification and receipt of your contribution.
2. Mail a donation to Saint Andrew, 150202 County Road NN, Wausau WI 54401. Please make sure to include your name.
3. If you use online banking to pay your utility and other bills, you can use it to send a single or recurring scheduled donation to Saint Andrew.
4. Give on our web site: by clicking here or hovering over the “GIVING” menu option and selecting the drop down labeled “Giving Online”. Our online giving page will be displayed. Log in or register and then you can submit an one-time or repeating donation to Saint Andrew.
5. Sign up for T.O.E. (Transfer Offering Electronically) which will automatically do a periodic transfer from your bank account. Call the church office to set up this option.
6. Install “Vanco Mobile” on your phone. With this app (from Vanco Services, the same company used for giving on our web site) you can also use your phone to make secure, one-time or recurring donations to Saint Andrew.  Download the Vanco Mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

AN ACT OF WORSHIP

Most churches include an offering as part of the weekly worship service. As we know, God does not need any of our time or our money. It is we who need to give it. We need to be generous. Offerings are one way to express our generosity and to express our devotion to God in an act of worship. Offerings are one of the ways we respond out of gratitude to God and remain faithful to the mission to which God is calling us.

GOD HAS GIVEN US EVERYTHING

God is our life, our hope, our future. Offerings to God are one of the ways his people worship and express their thanksgiving for God’s boundless love and grace.

WHERE YOUR OFFERING GOES

Weekly offerings support the mission and ministry of Saint Andrew as well as local outreach to the community. Additionally, a portion of weekly offerings are designated by the congregation for the mission support of the East Central Synod of Wisconsin and the ELCA — Evangelical Lutheran Church in America as we respond to ministry opportunities here and around the world to further the mission of this church.

NOISY OFFERING 

Once a month a special collection is made which is offered up to a specific community group or a special event occurring at Saint Andrew which may include fund raising. The special collection is called “noisy offering” since it involves dropping our pocket change and other coins brought to worship into large metal cans! The children attending any particular service carry the cans up and down the aisles letting everyone drop in their coins into the cans with a clatter!. To our children, the noisy offering process displays. through a real act, what it means to give and support something important in our lives.

FAIR TRADE PRODUCTS AT SAINT ANDREW

What is Fair Trade? “Fair Trade is a trading partnership, based on dialogue, transparency and respect, that seeks greater equity in international trade. It contributes to sustainable development by offering better trading conditions to, and securing the rights of, marginalized producers and workers.” (As defined by the World Fair Trade Organization.)

Fair Trade is more than just trading:
+ It proves that greater justice in world trade is possible.
+ It highlights the need for change in the rules and practice of conventional trade and shows how a successful business can also put people first.
+ It is a tangible contribution to the fight against poverty, climate change and economic crisis.

Here at Saint Andrew we support Fair Trade, through the wholesaler, Equal Exchange, in two ways:
1. Retail Sales to members.
Once a month Fair Trade products, including coffee, tea and chocolate are offered for sale in the Fellowship Hall.  These are sold at or near cost. Our home page of the web site lists the next date that products are for sale.
2. Brewed coffee served at fellowship and other events.
Our Social and Fellowship Ministries have partnered together to support the use of Fair Trade coffees for all brewed coffee at Saint Andrew. The coffees, both regular and decaf, are organic. The use of these products day in and day out again show our support of the social and economic opportunities that their use represents.
